The WHY to Charly’s Angels?
As a nurse in the healthcare industry for more than 20 years I have noticed an increasing need for quality patient education to our patients prior to coming into the hospital and a need for further support once discharged. Our hospital system lacks one major component that people should have more of and that is TIME.
In a time of increased anxiety among people, Charly’s Angels is here to give you and your family back that gift of time and support which will help in reducing any anxiety you may have on beginning the journey of parenthood and newborn care. We are one on one care that is customized to your needs with an experienced registered nurse. We will guide you and your partner along the labor and delivery process and reinforce the education you have on postpartum and newborn care.

The six areas of education that we focus on are...
Triage
Our focus will be on what to expect in triage, what questions to ask and the different types of induction.
Admission
Understand how the phases of labor progress to achieve vaginal delivery. Cesarean delivery as an option. What questions to ask and what to bring with you.
Delivery
Reducing anxiety, breathing efficiently to promote a successful delivery. How to maximize your “Golden hour”.
Postpartum
This support will include topics such what physical and emotional changes to expect, how your partner can help you in and outside of the hospital/birthing center. Rest promotion and how to maintain or improve milk production.
Newborn
Education on how to care for your newborn in the first weeks postpartum. Teaching to include newborn baths, swaddling and what is normal in a newborn.
Breastfeeding
This support will include helping the baby to latch effectively. Engorgement prevention and Breast pump usage.
